Outreach services for homeless and at-risk families in Sonoma County
Providing assistance for families and individuals, including unaccompanied youth, throughout Sonoma County

Our mission is to ease anxiety and discomfort for families that are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
Mobile Supportive Services (MSS) helps homeless families, or those at risk of becoming homeless, throughout Sonoma County. Our services are free and confidential. We also assist those who are transitioning into or out of housing--this can be an especially critical time, and extra support can make a difference.

MSS vehicles drive to meet with clients who may have transportation or childcare issues.

Our approach is to intervene early, help ease anxiety and discomfort, and track with clients consistently over time to ensure they have continuity of support and are eligible for all services available within the county and the region.

We can hand off case management to another agency, or we can provide continuous case management services, thereby enabling agencies to focus on their core services and control costs. We are staffed by experienced social workers, counselors, supervised student interns, and trained citizens who volunteer their time and expertise to assist those in need.

If you need help

-  If you are being evicted, losing safe housing, or getting out of jail—every hour counts.
-  If you are on the street and don’t know who to trust or what to do.
-  If you have never asked for help before.
-  If a friend or loved one seems uncertain about what to do, get their permission to call us

Be prepared to tell us briefly and accurately about your situation. We will not judge you. Our goal is to help you locate necessary services and housing.

We encourage you to call us as soon as you see or sense that you might be at risk.

Let us help you before you find yourself on the street. Call today.

If you want to volunteer

We can use help with many different areas and activities:

-  Driving to locations throughout Sonoma County

-  Receiving donations and sorting and packing items for delivery

-  Answering phones and supporting various office tasks

-  Assisting with fundraising

-  Working with social media and other public relations activities

If you are an agency

Our outreach service model supports those who have little or no current assistance or who may not have asked for, or needed, help before.

We can hand off support to another agency when a client begins to utilize services. Alternatively, we can continue to provide case management, other support services and reporting that align with your agency’s operations.

Continuous, adaptive case management supplied by MSS can help you in controlling costs and focusing more efficiently on your core deliverables.
